In Australia, hardwired light fittings must be installed by a licensed electrician. The fitting is heavy for a pendant, so the canopy must be fixed to a ceiling joist or a rated anchor, not to plasterboard alone. Hemp rope and wood are natural materials, so LED lamps, which run cooler, are the suitable choice.

Care

Switch the power off and let the lamps cool before cleaning.
